Mulwarra Capretto Goats are processed at under 8 weeks of age with a carcase weight specification of 7-10kg. Our Capretto is sourced from farmed Boer Goats and their offspring from a producer group based on the rich Liverpool Plains in New South Wales. The superior muscling of the Boer Goat produces a good meat to carcase ratio at a young age.
With the growth in specialist goat producers in Australia we now also have the ability to supply a ‘chevon’ style goat meat. These goats are all Boer goats renowned for their superior growth rates and muscle development. With all the goats being finished on grain, a carcase weight of over 30kg at under 10 months of age is achievable and results in a lean product with a unique mild flavour profile. All our Goat is available Halal on request.
